When we were decorating for Christmas, had the manger set up, but characters, our cat, "Smokey", decided to occupy the spot, as she always does when we are moving things around.

Gramma Jello made aprons for the little girls for this Christmas. It took awhile, was not easy for her, but she kept at it, and I thought they really came out super cute! I am proud of her really big effort to do this. I did this backwards. Sorry for the goof.
Here are some of Gayle's creations from years past. I am really proud of the things she has made. They make me feel happy to see them.

Just want you to know we have moved up. This is the flying boat we took to McCall. Next we will have our own jet, but this will do for now.

Our kids will remember these sandals, bought in McCall at Sprouse-Reitz, for $2.00, so long ago that we can't remember. (at least 20 years)
This is a picture of Randy on our way last year to what we thought was going to be a wonderful trip-not! (He was 25 lbs, heavier here.)

This is one of the old trilers that belongs to a group called "Sisters on the Fly".They travel to gether and have these kind of trailer that are being restored. This lady has a western theme, and has it fixed up just adorable. Of course, why wouldn't she--she owns a HUGE antique shop.

SEE WHAT I MEAN!!

For one of our breakfasts', Randy decided to make some camp toast---oh, excuse me, it appears that he made some butter with a tiny bit of bread under it!

This was our first time camping up at "Ponderosa". We went there many times when the kids were growing up. We pulled it up this time with Steve's pick-up. It appears we are on our way to the water!!

Yes, I guess we were. Isn't it jusst beautiful? It was a little bit later in the day so there weren't many people around. We kind of liked it that way! Look at that beautiful blue sky.

This was our beautiful camp spot. They told us it would mostly be empty, and when we got there it was all full except for two spots. It had been 100 degrees in the valley, so everyone headed for the hills. Nice and secluded, huh?

Who is that handsome guy there? I think I'll ask him for a ride!

This is the next morning. We had another great day. We were just getting breakfast ready and so Randy went out and made a fire. It makes it small so good!!!

From this close up picture , I think this "ugly broad" just got out of bed. Those eyes are a wee bit too puffy!!

On the way through town, we stopped at the public beach. It is called "The Rotary Park Beach". It was quite calm and nice, so we decided to wade for a while.

The 2nd night there, we ate out at a really good place called the "Toll Station". All in all, we had a wonderful time, and want to do this every weekend, or more. Not likely, but we hope to go up again before it gets cold.

We were going to tell about our trip to Washington, but Verlee has beat us to it. So now we can just enjoy reading and looking on her blog. We are really happy she did it. She is a wonderful daughter-in-law.

Maiden Voyage of trailer 8-15-09

Hello! Hello! It is actually me!!! I thought it was about time to get with the program. I think Randy and I have had a 1955 Terry trailer for at least 30 years. It has been hanging around for so long that we figured maybe we'd never do anything with it. Well, we finally got the bug and decided to restore it. It has been slow, and is far from being done, but we are bound and determined to do it. We set last Friday night as the "launch" date. It isn't aesthetically fixed, but all the systems work. The 'beautifying" will come quite a bit later. You will see that the outside really needs a painting, but, oh well for now. We can only do what we can do. At times when we have had to take it to someone for a little "tweaking", we have had compliments on the condition of the wood inside, and also offers from people to buy it! That part is kind of fun.

Anyway, this may not mean much to you, but it is quite nostalgic to us. Our truck can't pull it yet, so thanks to Wendy's husband, Brian, we were able to use his pick-up with the hitch on it.We pulled it up to "Swinging Bridge Park" , which is 15 miles north of Banks. We didn't want to go too far in case somebody had to come and get "those old people in that old trailer".!!! Well, here we go

I am just now trying to learn how to do this stuff. Most of our time has been spent on the house, and nobody will teach me anything. Oh, pooor, poor me!!!!!

I just wanted to mention a couple of other things.

First, Brian worked with Verlee and the boys to put the new floor in the dining room. It is really beautiful. We kind of feel like we did something naughty to have all this nice stuff.

Also, after everything was installed, Ryan came the next week and put up the white beadboard, and some ot the trim. There is still some trim to do and we are looking forward to his creative ideas to top off the project.

We are very grateful for our children and their spouses, their talents,and their willingness to share them in behalf of others.

We are finally getting back to this, so here are some pieces of info and pictures, in no particular order.

Grandpa Ralph is in a nursing home in Nampa. Everyone probably knows that already.

Jeremy and Verlee and their family were here for a few days over the New Year beginning. What a wonderful thing they accomplished for us while they were here, even thought Jeremy spent one full day with a painful lower stomach something-or-other, that put him down all day long. If you know him at all, you will know that he does that very seldom. But his sweet wife and their two boys pitched in and kept things going in his absence. We are so very grateful for their work in our behalf.

We now have a new kitchen, thanks to them, and a generous donation from Connie. Here is what it looks like.

Complete with new Pergo laminate flooring, Gayle only had to wait alomst 39 years for this.There is a cabinet on the other side of the fridge and the water cooler

We are just learning how to post pictures, etc., so will post this and put more in later.

Hello Everyone!! Iknow that it is a shock to hear from me, but it has taken forever for me to learn all the ins and outs of this thing, and we have had problems with the computer. But let me tell you, I really want to keep going. It is really good for me to learn new things. Let me tell you---I absolutely LOVE reading everyones blogs and also their comments. I have a tendency to feel a little funny doing this because you are all young and sprite and I am old and slow!!! But maybe all of this keeps me feeling younger and makes me think back about my younger years and when I had little children. It also keeps me in touch with those of you that I am not around very much. Anyway, thanks for listening.

This was quite a Thanksgiving. We had one at the beginning of the month ( I think you saw it on a few of the blogs of other people) with the Warthen family and it was at Tammy's house. She pulled it all together. I think there were 17-20 of us. It was quite a house full of people, but her place can fit us all. Then on the real day of Thanksgiving, we had all our immediate family here except for Jeremy's and Erik's family. It turned out really nice. Everyone was so helpful to me because I don't seem to last very long. I am still trying to build up my energy. We all had assignments , so that made it very easy. I made a really, really good homemade pumpkin pie--with the Costco sticker on it!!!! With a pie that big and good, with a price of only $5.99, I am not going to make it myself. After dinner was over and we visited for a while, everyone had to leave because they had other family dinners to go to. They must have goten pretty full.

I thought I had the table decorated quite nicely, and then Megan came and decided she needed to make it look better. One side of the table had nine napkins on it and the other had four!! Then the opposite side of the table had about three napkins and nine cups!! She was so proud of herself. It was a real mess, but it made it for fun. We all just passed everything around to make it even!!!

Tammy had a Thanksgiving-type dinner for all the Towerys and McKights yesterday at her house. I was able to get myself together for the event, and had a great time.

She's Up and Dressed!

I'm back! It's been a while since I have blogged but most of you know it's because I took an unplanned time out. Believe me, you don't want to have this kind of time out. I went to a doctor's appointment today and he was happy with my progress. I've been having pain in one area pretty constantly and he asked why I wasn't taking a pain pill. I said I didn't want my bishop to know I was on pain medications. He said "I was the one that prescribed it". For those of you that don't know, my urologist is also my bishop. As far as the pneumonia goes he said it is getting better.

Thanks to everyone who has been so sweet, especially my family. I'll email when mine gets fixed and when I feel more up to it. Wendy is my scribe for now.

Gramma Jello now has a blog! Now she'll never leave the computer. I will have to bring her meals, etc. But she will have a lot of fun, which she deserves.

The next step is to get a digital camera, so you can look at our lovely faces, or whatever.
